What Are Diseases?
A disease is a condition that harms the structure and function of organs, tissues, or parts of a live body. It should highlight that it is not the result of an instant exterior injury, and disease is a medical condition with distinct signs and symptoms.
As a result, a disease is a painful condition that impairs the proper functioning of cells, organs, and tissues.
Rather than a single cause, the disease usually causes by a combination of reasons. When we have a sickness, we start showing symptoms such as headaches, cough, cold, or weakness. These indicators are known as “symptoms.” Symptoms of almost all diseases appear quickly after the sickness has hit. However, it varies according to the severity of the disease.
Types of Diseases
There are two types of diseases.
- Infectious diseases
- Non-infectious diseases
Infectious diseases
Infectious diseases are those that transfer from one person to another. They typically cause by pathogenic germs (fungi, rickettsia, bacteria, viruses, protozoans, and also worms). However, pathogens might escape the host and infect a new person when an infected person discharges body secretions (sneezing, coughing, etc.). Cholera, chickenpox, malaria, and also other diseases are examples.
Non-infectious diseases
Pathogens cause these diseases, but other factors such as age, nutritional deficit, an individual’s gender, and lifestyle all affect the disease. Hypertension, diabetes, and also cancer are a few examples. However, they do not spread and contain within the person who has contracted them. Other non-infectious disorders include Alzheimer’s, asthma, cataracts, and heart disease.
